We are happy to announce the addition of David Minch as Huberty’s Assurance Manager out of our firm’s Ripon office.

David has a strong knowledge of GASB standards and has dedicated much of his time to helping Huberty’s clients make improvements at their entities. He has also performed numerous agreed-upon procedures for clients with a focus on improving internal controls, strengthening controls over cash, and establishing reconciliation policies and procedures.

Since joining Huberty, David’s primary focus has been working with Wisconsin counties, cities, towns, and villages. In addition, he has worked closely with a number of utility districts, sanitary districts, special districts, school districts, technical districts, CESAs, and charter schools. David has also focused on managing fieldwork, compiling financial statements, reviewing financial statements, and implementing new accounting standards.

“I was attracted to Huberty because of their culture, vision, and leadership,” states David. “I am excited about the fact that I can help and work with people from the community that I live in.”

David takes pride in helping clients improve efficiency and control at their entities. He also takes extra time to help train and provide assistance to other staff members.

Before Huberty, David worked for Schenck SC as an audit manager in the Government Department, continuing to work there until Schenck merged with CLA in 2019. Prior, he was with the Minnesota Department of Revenue in the Special Taxes Division and the Minnesota Office of the Legislative Auditor, auditing internal controls of various state departments and financial statements. He also worked for Redpath and Company in White Bear Lake, Minnesota, where he worked as an audit manager in the Government and Not-For-Profit Department.

Outside of work, David lends his expertise as treasurer for the Ripon Youth Wrestling program. He is also a finance committee member at his church and a member of the AICPA. He enjoys attending and coaching his kids’ sporting events, hunting, fishing, and spending time outdoors.

He has earned his CPA license in both Wisconsin and Minnesota.
